Duration: 4 Days / 3 Nights Destination: Volcanoes National Park, Rwanda

Day 1: Arrival in Kigali

Upon your arrival at Kigali International Airport, our representative will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in Kigali, the capital city of Rwanda. Take the rest of the day to relax and acclimate to the beautiful surroundings.

Day 2: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Volcanoes National Park, located in the Virunga Mountains. Enjoy the breathtaking views of the rolling hills and terraced landscapes along the way. Upon arrival, check in to your lodge and spend the afternoon exploring the nearby villages or relaxing in the tranquil setting of the park.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking Experience

Today is the highlight of your safari adventure – the gorilla trekking experience. After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing by the park rangers. You’ll be assigned to a gorilla family group and begin your trek into the dense rainforest in search of these majestic creatures. Once you locate the gorillas, spend a precious hour observing and photographing them in their natural habitat. The experience of being in close proximity to these gentle giants is truly awe-inspiring. After the trek, return to your lodge and spend the evening reliving the incredible encounter.

Day 4: Golden Monkey Trekking and Departure

On your final day, embark on a thrilling golden monkey trekking experience. These playful and endangered primates are endemic to the region and offer a unique wildlife encounter. Observe their lively behavior and enjoy the scenic beauty of the forest. After the trek, return to your lodge for lunch before bidding farewell to Volcanoes National Park. Our representative will transfer you back to Kigali, where you can catch your departure flight or extend your stay to explore more of Rwanda.

Please note that gorilla permits are limited and subject to availability. It is recommended to book your tour well in advance to secure the permits.

Day 1- Nairobi

Arrival at Jomo Kenyatta Airport met and assisted by MSAFIRI AFRICA representative. Transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at the Intercontinental Hotel / Eka Hotel (BB)

Day 2 – Masai Mara National Game Reserve

After breakfast, drive to the Masai Mara National Reserve offering wonderful scenery and plenty of game. It is perhaps the only region left in Kenya where the visitor may see animals in the same super-abundance as existed a century ago. Lunch at Keekorok Lodge. Afternoon game drive enroute to your lodge. Meals and overnight at Mara Serena Lodge (LDBB)

Day 3 – Masai Mara National Game Reserve

Day 4 – Lake Victoria

After breakfast at the overnight lodge, you will drive to the border town of Isebania where you will go through the normal immigration and customs procedures. Thereafter cross the board, change vehicles and proceed to Tanzania in Tanzanian vehicles. Your destination is Musoma. On arrival you will board a waiting boat to transfer you to Lukuba Island. Rest of the day at leisure or enjoy activities as offered by the camp. All meals and overnight at Lukuba Island Lodge (LDBB)

Day 5 – Serengeti National Park

After breakfast transfer by boat to Musoma where you will find your drive waiting. You will rejoin him and this morning proceed to Serengeti National Park arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive en route to your lodge. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Serena Lodge LDBB

Day 6 – Serengeti National Park

All day spent in the Serengeti with morning and afternoon game drives. Meals and overnight at Serengeti Serena Lodge L DBB

Day 7 – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Crater, the largest intact caldera in the world. Its enduring charm stems from its overwhelming physical beauty and the abundance of wildlife permanently resident on the crater floor. En route visit the Olduvai Gorge site of archeological findings, where traces of pre-historic man dating back to 3.5 million years ago have been discovered. You will have picnic lunch at the floor of the Crater. After the lunch enjoy afternoon crater tour before ascending to the rim of the Crater. Check in at your lodge. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge LDBB

Day 8 – Lake Manyara

Leisurely breakfast at the overnight lodge enjoying the sweeping views of the crater from your lodge. Thereafter you will drive to Lake Manyara arriving in time for lunch at your lodge. Then proceed to Lake Manyara National Park, one of the Rift Valley’s numerous alkaline lakes, which apart from its abundant bird life, is known for its tree-climbing lions. Afternoon game drive until sunset. Meals and overnight at Lake Manyara Serena Lodge (LDBB)

Day 9- Departure

After breakfast, drive back to Arusha for lunch at Mountain Village. After lunch transferred to Kilimanjaro airport for your onward departure flight. Our representative will re-confirm your onward flight, and assist you at check-in.

Day – 1 Amboseli National Parks

After lunch you will drive to Amboseli National Park lying below the most famous symbol of Africa, Mt Kilimanjaro. Afternoon game drive until sunset. Meals and overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge LDBB

Day – 2 Amboseli National Parks

Full day will be spent in Amboseli with morning and afternoon game viewing drives or option of full day game drive with packed lunch. Meals and overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge (LDBB)

Day – 3 Depart

After breakfast, drive back to Nairobi and drop off at Jomo Kenyatta Airport for your international departure flight.

DAY 01 – ARRIVAL NAIROBI

Met upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport by Msafiri Africa representative. Assistance and transfer to your hotel. Accommodation on bed & breakfast basis at The Fairmont Norfolk Hotel (BB)

DAY 02 – NAIROBI/SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE

After breakfast, drive north via Nanyuki and Mt Kenya to the Samburu National Reserve. Rugged and remote, this wildlife reserve provides some the best and most colorful game viewing in the country arriving in time for lunch at your camp. Afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at Samburu Intrepids Camp (LDBB)

Samburu Intrepids is renowned as a pioneer of luxury camping in one of the world’s last true wilderness areas. Situated on the banks of the Uaso Nyiro River in Samburuland, this 30-tent camp will introduce guests to the big game of northern Kenya through stirring early morning game drives, walking safaris with skilled local guides, camel rides, and in-depth cultural excursions.

DAY 03 –SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE

Early morning game drive returning to the lodge for breakfast. Rest of the morning at leisure. Lunch. Afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at Samburu Intrepids Camp (LDBB)

DAY 04 – SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE/ABERDARE NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast drive to the Aberdares arriving in time for lunch at The Aberdare Country Club. After lunch transfer to the lodge situated inside the Aberdare National Park. Rest of the day at leisure with game viewing from the lodge. Dinner and overnight at The Ark Lodge (LDBB)

DAY 05 – LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK/LAKE NAIVASHA

After breakfast you will be collected for the day’s drive taking you past the Aberdares mountain range, via the Nyahururu waterfalls to the floor of the Great Rift Valley, destination Lake Nakuru National Park arriving in time for lunch at the lodge. After lunch proceed for an afternoon game drive and the proceed to Naivasha arriving in the evening for dinner and overnight at The Great Rift Valley Lodge (LDBB)

DAY 06 – LAKE NAIVASHA/MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE

After breakfast, drive to the Masai Mara National Reserve offering wonderful scenery and plenty of game. Meals and overnight at Fairmont Mara Safari Club (LDBB)

Located in the northern section of the famous Masai Mara where a million wildebeests and zebra make their perilous annual migration, the Mara Safari Club is a tented sanctuary, surrounded on three sides by the Mara River. All 50 luxuriously appointed tents look out onto the river from a private verandah. Activities include game drives, walking safaris, visits to Masai villages and wildlife lectures. The Mara is probably the most famous and most visited reserve in Kenya. It offers breathtaking views an extraordinary density of animals including the “Big Five” and many varieties of plains game.

DAY 07 – MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE
